Movie night

Tuossa viimeyönä katsottiin loppujenlopuksi aika montakin leffaa (vaikka piti katsoa pari japanilaista kauhu leffaa). Päädyttiin sitten lopulta katsomaan 5 leffaa joista yksi ei kyllä ollut kauhuleffa (mutta sijoittui halloweeniin). No kuitenkin vaikka en ole mikään kauhu elokuvien ystävä niin pitäähän sitä halloweenina (vaikkei vielä nyt halloween olekkaan) katsoa kauhuleffoja! Katsomassa piti olla kyllä pari muutakin, mutta molemmat lintsasi tämän jutun =___=.

No ensimmäinen leffa joka katsottiin oli Suicide Club.

This dark horror film begins with the grisly spectacle of 54 Japanese schoolgirls jumping in unison into the path of an oncoming train. This is only the first in a wave of mass suicides that sweeps across Japan, baffling the police and panicking the populace. The two police officers assigned to the case have to piece together such mystifying clues as a website seems to be predicting each wave of deaths, a coughing child who periodically calls them with enigmatic tips, and a coiled rope stitched out of human flesh. All of it may or may not have to do with a prepubescent all-girl pop group whose latest hit single seems to have hypnotized the nation.

Tämä oli tosiaan illan/yön ensimmäinen kauhuleffa joka katottiin. Olin lukenut vähän sieltä sun täältä, että tästä oltaisiin tykätty ja että se saattaisi olla ihan hyvä, joten siksi valittiin tämä yhdeksi leffaksi. Kuitenkin vaikka alku näytti lupaavalta kauhuleffalta (kun juurikin se 54 tyyppiä hyppää junanalle) niin mitä pidemmälle päästiin sitä oudommaksi homma vain meni. Ja siinäkohtaa kun päästiin outoon keilahalliin, jossa oli kummallinen porukka niin se meni vähän ohi. Jep, eli tämä tosiaan ei ollut mielestäni hyvä ja juttukin meni oudoksi.

Ja seuraavaksi katsoimme One Missed Call (Chakushin Ari).

Visionary horror film director Takashi Miike delivers a typically stylish and idiosyncratic scare-fest with this thriller. Yumi Nakamura (Kou Shibasaki) is a mildly paranoid young woman whose good friend, Yoko, receives a strange and mysterious call on her cell phone. The phone's read-out says that the call came from Yoko's own number, but from three days into the future; 72 hours later, Yoko dies in a bizarre accident moments after getting the same call over again. Yumi learns that Yoko isn't the only person to have had this experience; the spirit of a vengeful woman has been creeping into people's cell phones, and one by one is taking the lives of the folks in their internal telephone books. As Yumi struggles to solve the mystery of how and why this could be happening before someone else dies, she discovers the story has more to do with her than she imagined. Chakushin Ari was a major box-office success in Japan, where leading lady Kou Shibasaki is a popular recording artist as well as an actress.

Tämä oli sensijaan aivan toista luokkaa (ja ohjaajana Takashi Miike)... Voisin sanoa, että tämä oli hyvä kauhuleffa tasoalla. Sillä kauhuleffanhan pitäisi olla pelottava ja tämä kyllä todellakin onnistui siinä. Katselin suurimman osan leffasta karvat pystyssä ja valmiina huutamaan 8DD. Varsinkin loppupuolella kun mennään hylättyyn sairaalaan niin voivoi... Eli todellakin pelottavahan tämä oli, mutta loppu oli vähän kysymysmerkkiä. Voi tietysti olla siksi koska tästä on monta osaa (en sitten tiedä liittyykö ne tähän jollaintavalla). Ainiin ja päähenkilöllä oli kivat hiukset~ :3

Ja tämän jälkeen olikin sitten vuorossa The Doll Master.

5 young people, a quiet doll maker in a wheelchair and her dedicated helper, a chained old man in the basement and a mysterious young girl in red... all together in a lonely doll museum in the woods. What starts out as a fun trip to pose for new dolls soon turns into a nightmare that not everyone will survive.

Tämä tosiaan ei ollut enään japanilainen vaan korealainen kauhuleffa. Mutta halusin nähdä tämän koska siellä oli BJD:itä ja muunlaisiakin nukkeja~ No ei kyllä ollut kauhean pelottava ehkä voisin sanoa, että tämä oli ennenmin jopa vähän surullinen (ainakin osan aikaa D:). Mutta ei tämä kyllä oikein ollut hirveän hyvä leffa, mikä oli vähän sääli.

Siihen loppuikin nämä ja seuraavaksi, kun yö oli vasta nuori niin päätettiin katsoa pari muutakin leffaa. Molemmat liittyy tosiaan halloweenniin, joten miksipä ei :D

Ja ensimmäinen näistä oli The Crow (1994)

Based on the graphic novel by James O'Barr, this fantasy follows Eric Draven (Brandon Lee), a rock musician who is murdered along with his fiancée, Shelly (Sofia Shinas), by a group of marauding thugs who terrorize the decaying city in which they live. One year to the day after his death (which happens to be Devil's Night), a mystical crow appears at Eric's grave; Eric rises from the dead and, with the bird as his guide, goes on a mission to avenge himself against Top Dollar (Michael Wincott), the leader of the gang who killed him. 

Star Brandon Lee was killed while filming a scene in which he was shot with a shell from an improperly cleaned gun that was supposed to be loaded with blanks. Like his father, martial arts superstar Bruce Lee, Brandon was fated to enjoy his greatest popular success after his premature death.

Tämä oli parempi kuin luulin ja tuo juttukin tähän elokuvaan liittyen (Brandon Leen kuolema) oli kyllä aika ihmeellinen tapaus (kun siellä DVD:n mukana olevassa lehtiössä kerrottiin koko juttu).
Itse elokuva oli tosiaan hyvä ja vaikka siinä luki, että se olisi K18 niin ei leffassa näkynyt verta juuri ollenkaan. Ikäraja varmaan tulee siitä kun tässä on tälläinen kostaja, huumeitakin on mukana ja muuta kivaa ja kun vanha leffa on niin silloin aateltiin että 18 on hyvä (tai sitten joku ei jaksanu kattoa ja laittoi 18 automaattisesti, ken tietää).
Mutta tosiaan! Hyvä leffa oli vaikka on vanha ja kaikkea niin kannattaa katsella jos kiinnostaa (ei ollut pelottavakaan). Ja pääpahiksella oli isot ja paksut hienot hiukset 8D

Viimeinen leffa, joka katsottiin yöllä oli Donnie Darko.

Donnie (Jake Gyllenhaal) is a bright and charming high-school student who also has a dark and willfully eccentric side; he does little to mask his contempt for many of his peers and enjoys challenging the authority of the adults around him. Donnie is also visited on occasion by Frank, a monstrous six-foot rabbit that only Donnie can see who often urges him to perform dangerous and destructive pranks. Late one night, Frank leads Donnie out of his home to inform him that the world will come to an end in less than a month; moments later, the engine of a jet aircraft comes crashing through the ceiling of Donnie's room, making him think there might be something to Frank's prophesies after all. The rest of Donnie's world is only marginally less bizarre, as he finds himself dealing with his confused parents (Mary McDonnell and Holmes Osborne), his college-age sister (Maggie Gyllenhaal), his perplexed analyst (Katherine Ross), a rebellious English teacher (Drew Barrymore), a sleazy self-help expert (Patrick Swayze), and the new girl at school who is attracted by Donnie's quirks (Jena Malone).

Tämä ei ollutkaan sitten enään kauhu leffa, mutta halloweeniin tosiaan kun liittyi niin katsottiin se nyt siinä samalla. Oli kyllä aika erikoinen leffa, mutta ihan katsottava kuitenkin. Loppua en kyllä osannut arvata (joka on ihan hyvä juttu), mutta silti se ei ihan iskenyt ^^'

Eli sellaiset katseltiin tuossa yöllä ja meni vähän pitkäksi, mutta kelloa siirrettiin tuntia taakseppäin niin eihän se nyt ihan hirveän pitkälle sitten mennytkään :b.
